United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ. We strive to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Our programs are geared toward women and children of the Bible, in history and modern day.
We are funded by donations from the membership and fund raising events. We support the district and conference units with annual missions such as, The Refuge and Rainbow Connection which are missions of the United Methodist Alliance.
YOU can help support our local unit by making a pledge. Everyone is welcome to the monthly meeting and to enjoy the many fine programs and events that occur throughout the year. Please give prayerful consideration to supporting the United Methodist Women with our gifts and presence.
Remember, one person
can make a difference.
United Methodist Women
The Shawl Ministry
is made of a group of wonderful women who volunteer their time and talents in crocheting or knitting blankets and shawls, praying over them and presenting them to those who are ill or have lost loved ones.
They pray that the recipients feel the warmth of God's love as they wrap themselves up in these beautiful blankets and shawls.
The women also present new parents and babies being baptized with baby blankets. They also make mittens and hats which they distribute to shelters.
If you would like to be part in this ministry or donate yarn, financial support, please call the church office.
